Minh Phu Seafood Corp has issued VND 700 billion of three years bonds with par value of VND 1 billion per share

Minh Phu Seafood Corp (MPC) has issued VND700 billion of three year bonds with par value of VND1 billion per share. In the first phase (late 2010), MPC issued 200 bonds (worth VND200 billion) and the other 500 bonds were issued in the second phase (March 31, 2011) in order to raise operating capital for Minh Phu – Hau Giang shrimp processing plant and invest in an industrial shrimp farming project at Dat Do district, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Minh Phu Seafood Corp: Expand farming area, assure adequate raw materials

Through April 2011, Minh Phu Seafood Corp shipped 6,836 MT of finished products, totaled $US 81.37 million.

Mr. Le Van Diep, Vice General Director of Minh Phu Seafood Corp, said in Q1/2011, the corporation exported more than 4,800MT of frozen shrimp, worth around US$55.9 million, up 65.57 percent in volume and 79.46 percent in value over the same period of last year.

In the first quarter this year, the US remained the largest market of Minh Phu Seafood Corp, which imported more than 1,500MT of shrimp, worth US$21.86 million, followed by Japan, South Korea, Canada and EU. Read more of this post

Among the 14 Seafood Companies (10 fish and 4 shrimp exporters) disclosing their 1st quarter financial report, 4 enterprises hit negative profit growth and one enterprise made loss.

Minh Phu Seafood Corp: Urgently complete shrimp processing plant in Hau Giang

Mr. Le Van Diep, Deuty General Director if Minh Phu Seafood Corporation said in January 2011, the company exported 1,622 MT of shrimp worth US$ 19.8 million. The US remained its largest importers, followed by Japan, EU, South Korea and Canada.

Ca Mau exported shrimp more positively

2010 was the first time that Ca Mau’s shrimp export turnover reach more than US$ 800 million. According to fishery experts, this item has great potential to increase both in volume and export value in 2011.

Ca Mau province has the largest export shrimp processing industry in Vietnam with 35 factories. In 2010, the province’s shrimp export value hit a record of US$823 million. Minh Phu largest processing unit to be open in April

Minh Phu Seafood Company has announced that the VN$1 trillion (US$46.5 milllion) Minh Phu-Hau Giang plant will go into operation in April.
